Southlake Rotary Club Distributes dictionaries at GCISD

This year, 10 District 5790 clubs are using their District Matching Grant funds to purchase dictionaries and distribute them to local area third graders. For those clubs that have not done a dictionary project it is hard to understand the fantastic connection that occurs between students and Rotarians when giving the dictionaries out.

This connection, not only promotes literacy, it promotes Rotary within the community, particularly when the schools post the event on their school websites and Facebook pages.

While District 5790 Governor Jim Giffin was away on district business recently, his club Southlake Rotary did its part for literacy and education in their community.”
