We are a People of Action.

As the Rotary Zone 21b Public Image Coordinator, PDG Lisa Herring of District 5840 speaks with passion about the importance of our Rotary Brand and consistent Rotary messaging that truly promotes members of every club as a People of Action.

She was with us for our 2016 Extravaganza and is back again this year with more exciting news for our club Public Image committees with ways they help promote Rotary, their clubs membership efforts and club foundation initiatives.

Lisa enjoys sharing how she started down the Rotary path: as a member of the Tivy High School Interact Club in Kerrville, Texas which provided the foundation for her life’s passion…SERVICE!!! Lisa’s dad Gordon Robbins and her husband Alan Herring were both Rotarians and past club presidents of the Junction Rotary Club where she also served as club President in 2006-2007 as a “Leading” President.

Lisa was selected Rotarian of the Year for 2007-2008. Lisa has served on the District 5840 Youth Exchange committee for 13 years, as an Assistant Governor and as the District Governor in 2012-2013. One of her most impactful Rotary experiences was selection as District 5840’s Group Study Exchange Team Leader to District 3800 Philippines in 2010! That experience truly rekindled her fire for this AMAZING International Service Organization known as Rotary.

Lisa currently serves as the District Public Image Chair, Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) facilitator (Implemented her year as Governor), Lone Star Rotary Presidents Elect trainer and starting July 01, 2015 she will be the Zone 21b Rotary Public Image Coordinator (RPIC). Lisa and her husband Alan have 3 children: Rebecca, Samuel and Elizabeth; one son-in-law Greg and a Grandson Raylan (9 months). Both Rebecca and Sam were Rotary Youth Exchange Students and the family has hosted over a dozen Exchange students from all over the world! After family, Lisa’s greatest passions are the Rotary Youth Exchange/GSE programs and helping children with disabilities.
