Shalom Everyone,
My name is Gulin “Eva” Gelogullari. I am originally from Turkey and completed my first master's degree at the University of North Texas. Currently, I have two minors in Women's and Gender Studies and Merchandising. Last year, I received the Rotary Global Grant in Peace and Conflict Prevention/Resolution area of focus in 2015-2016. This wonderful grant helped me to pursue my second master’s degree in Conflict Resolution and Mediation at Tel Aviv University in Israel. I picked Israel to study and practice conflict studies since Israel is considered as the laboratory of conflicts and its resolutions. Our program is an interdisciplinary which helps me to understand conflict resolution and peacemaking through multiple academic disciplines. It is also very practical; for example, in spring semester I will be starting my internship in an NGO in Tel Aviv to practice conflict resolution and peace building. On our campus, I am the only Rotary Scholar so far which is a great honor but also a responsibility. I promote Rotary’s Four Way Test and the humanitarian projects, and encourage young students to apply the Rotary scholarships to further their education and make our world a better place.

After completing my degree, I want to pursue my PhD in Conflict Resolution and Peace Studies while contributing to the IGO’s or NGO’s in Israel or in the United States.
