Application Timetable for Rotary Clubs in District 5790 

February - March

  1. Identify outstanding Peace Fellow candidates.
  2. Encourage prospects to complete an application 
  3. Club interviews their candidate.

April - May

  1. Submit application and endorsement to District by April 15.
  2. District committee reviews applications for qualification 
  3. District committee interviews all fully qualified applicants. 
  4. District committee will endorse or decline to endorse. 

 

District World Peace Fellows Sub-Committee

The District 5790 RWPF Sub-Committee has oversight responsibility for recruitment and nomination to two of The Rotary Foundation's educational programs.  These are:

  1. Rotary Centers for International Studies
  2. Rotary Peace and Conflict Studies

 

Rotary Peace Centers for Master's Degree

Where?
At the following Institutes:
  1. Duke / University of North Carolina-USA
  2. International Christian University (ICU)-Japan
  3. The University of Bradford-England
  4. The University of Queensland-Australia
  5. Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden
     
What?  Graduate study toward a master's degree. 
 
How many? 50 master's degree fellowships
 
Who? 

Chosen based on:

  • Academic achievement
  • Ability to impact world peace and conflict resolution
When?

Deadlines for 2027-2028 Applications, 

  • Club interviews and endorsements must be submitted to District by April 15.
  • District endorsement must be submitted to TRF by July 1, 2026.
 
 

Rotary Peace Centers for Professional Certificate

 
Where?  
At the following Institutes:
  1. Makerere University  (Kampala,  Uganda)
  2.  Otto and Fran Walter Rotary Peace Center, Bahçeşehir University (Istanbul, Turkey)
  3.  Symbiosis International University (Pune, India) 
What? Professional certificate program
 
How many?  TRF may allocate up to 80 Rotary Peace Fellowships per year.
 
Who?   Adults and professionals working in conflict resolution
 
When?     
 Deadlines for 2027-2028 Applications, 
 
  • Club interviews and endorsements must be submitted to District by April 15.
  • District endorsement must be submitted to TRF by July 1, 2026.
