Rotarians throughout the world and right here in our own neighborhoods provide a variety of humanitarian services.
Did you know that these acts of kindness actually impact world peace?
Join us on December 1, 2012 for the Rotary District 5790 Peace Symposium at the Tarrant Community College at the Trinity River Campus for stimulating discussions connecting efforts to address critical issues of the day to the goal of building sustainable peace.
There will be several organizations who provide humanitarian asistance locally and throughout the world who will have displays of their projects. You will have an opportunity to consider how your Rotary Club can partner with these organizations.
There will be a session specifically designed for Rotarians. The presentation will demonstrate a program that you can take back to you club to discuss opportunities for peace projects for your club members and your community.
The schedule for the day will be:
8:30- 9:20 AM Continental Breakfast
9:00- 9:30 AM Welcome and opening remarks
9:40- 10:10 AM Three breakout sessions
10:20- 10:50 AM Three breakout sessions
11:00- 11:30 AM Three Breakout sessions
11: 40- 12:15 PM Culminating activity and closing remarks
The public is invited to attend.
Cost: $10.00 for attendee
$5.00 for students with ID
