Dr. John Kuhn

School District: Mineral Wells ISD
Dr. Kuhn is an avid supporter of meeting the needs of students in the Mineral Wells School District. He is especially passionate about collaborating with community organizations and agencies that relieve hunger and food insecurity for school-aged children.
He will share how he's working with these programs to improve the lives of children and families in the school district as well as how it impacted him personally.
Dr. Kuhn has been a school superintendent for eleven years, with the past six years at Mineral Wells ISD. He has served as a public school educator for 24 years, with roles as varied as a classroom teacher, bus driver, one-act-play sponsor, assistant principal, and campus principal. He has written two books and numerous articles about education policy and practice and has served on numerous local and state commissions, boards of directors, and advisory committees. John has been an active member of the Mineral Wells Rotary Club for several years.
