The Rotary Club of Azle will host its third annual Steak Cookoff March 7, 2026 under the live oaks at Lakeside Plaza, 8401 Jacksboro Highway in Lakeside. Rotary Clubs from throughout District 5790 are encouraged to put together a team and come cook one or two steaks — provided to all entrants — with a chance to win up to $1,000 in the internationally sanctioned event.

Entry fee is $160 for one steak, $320 for two and $25 for a separate appetizer competition. The Cooks meeting is at 10 a.m. and each team gets a 10x15 space to set up and work in. There is also music, fellowship and plenty of sampling throughout the day.

The Steak Cookoff Association, headquartered right there in Lakeside, will host its World Championship the following weekend at Texas Motor Speedway, with more than 400 teams competing from all over the world. Many of these teams will compete in the Azle Rotary event.

It’s a day of food, fellowship and international goodwill. Call Debra Jenkins at 817-832-3663 or email her at debrajenkins49@gmail.com for more information or to enter. You can also find more information at steakcookoffs.com.
