This years Foundation Gala a Complete Success

Not so in District 5790.
With the support of District Governor Troy Secord a prestigious speaker in PRIP Ray Klinginsmith and an outstanding Foundation Gala Committee the district hosted a record number of participants at this years Lasso the Moon Gala

It is that time of year again to nominate the District Governor for the Rotary Year 2018-2019. Attached you will find and informational letter on the process, qualifications and the application. Note that a nominee must have 7 years of membership in Rotary prior to becoming District Governor for the year 2018-2019. Please seek out those individuals within your clubs that would be qualified and ready to serve our district. Please contact me if you have any questions about the procedure.

The nomination procedure officially opened with a letter to the District 5790 Presidents on November 27, 2015. The deadline for submission is January 27, 2016.
Rotarian Jim Vaszauskas (Mansfield ISD Superintendent) of the Mansfield Sunrise RC was recently contacted by the parents of one or the MISD graduates and now starting lineman with OSU. That student is Zach Crabtree and is one of the 20 OSU athletes chosen to visit victims of the tragedy in the hospital.
Zach is the one with the blue Nike Cap
The Mansfield Sunrise RC is donating to funds in support of those victims and is asking Rotary Clubs from throughout District 5790 to consider doing the same. Below is the text of a e-mail sent to Rotarian Jim from Zach's mother. The memo includes links to stories about the service the athletes are providing as well as links to a memorial fund being used to support the victims and their families.
