Officer Collins began her career at the Lewisville Police Department in 1998.  She worked as a patrol officer until 2004.  At that time, she became the department's first Crime Victim Liaison. 
 
 
 
 
She works with victims of crimes against persons to assist in their healing both emotionally and financially.  The favorite part of her job is when she can help children get out of bad situations. 
 
Officer Charlene Collins lives in Denton and has two children and one grandson.
