District Rotarians Serve, Laugh, and Learn
If you didn’t make it to the 2015 District Conference in Wichita Falls, here is what you missed.
Rotarians had the opportunity to serve local nonprofit organizations, enjoy moving and even hilarious entertainment, and learn more about Rotary on the local as well as international level.

There was really something for everybody as participants sorted food items at the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank, learned how the River Bend Nature Center educates children and adults about the world around them, and got a first- hand look at an organization providing therapeutic riding for children and service veterans.
They toured Sheppard Air Force Base, and  were entertained by violinist Amanda Wirtz as she explained how she arrived at The Right Question. They had an up close look at a Shelterbox, and heard about how they are used for disaster relief in the US and around the world.
They participated in Mindy Audlin’s brief but effective leadership workshop, and they learned about the work of The Rotary Foundation in District 5790. They cheered for their fellow Rotarians as awards were presented and clubs were honored for their accomplishments and they gained an international perspective on Rotary from RI President;s representative PRID Jose Pretoni.
They participated in education sessions and panel discussions, heard from the finalists in the Four Way Test Speech Contest, and sang and laughed with entertainer Tony Pace.
But most of all, they celebrated Rotary and demonstrated that Service Above Self is more than a motto – it’s a way of life for Rotarians
